WATCH: Same NPR Reporter Who Lied About Masking Feud Between Gorsuch and Sotomayor Now Claims SCOTUS Leak Came from Conservative Clerk

The same NPR reporter who lied about #MaskGate and claimed there was a masking feud between SCOTUS justices Gorsuch and Sotomayor is now claiming the Roe v Wade leak came from a conservative clerk.

NPR’s Nina Totenberg on Sunday said the “leading theory” is a conservative SCOTUS clerk leaked Alito’s Roe v Wade draft opinion to left-wing Politico reporter Josh Gerstein.

“The leading theory is a conservative clerk who was afraid that one of the conservatives might be persuaded by Chief Justice Roberts to join a much more moderate opinion,” Nina Totenberg said.

In January NPR’s Nina Totenberg reported Justice Sonia Sotomayor is still working remotely because fellow justice Neil Gorsuch refuses to wear a face mask.

“It was pretty jarring earlier this month when the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court took the bench for the first time since the omicron surge over the holidays. All were now wearing masks. All, that is, except Justice Neil Gorsuch. What’s more, Justice Sonia Sotomayor was not there at all, choosing instead to participate through a microphone setup in her chambers.” NPR’s Nina Totenberg reported.

Gorsuch and Sotomayor refuted NPR’s story in a joint statement.

“Reporting that Justice Sotomayor asked Justice Gorsuch to wear a mask surprised us. It is false. While we may sometimes disagree about the law, we are warm colleagues and friends,” Gorsuch and Sotomayor said in a joint statement to the media.

Nina Totenberg remained defiant and said NPR stands by her reporting.
