The reelection campaign of Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom is scheduled to run campaign ads on cable TV networks in Florida on Monday, reportedly on the Fox News Channel. The Fourth of July ad buy targeting Florida and the state’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis (though not be name) is seen as testing the waters for a potential 2024 presidential run by Newsom.
It’s Independence Day so let’s talk about what’s going on in America.
Freedom. It’s under attack in your state. Republican leaders, they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors.
I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight or join us in California.

With Joe Biden and fellow Californian Kamala Harris tanking in the polls, Newsom is one of several Democrat governors who are reportedly considering presidential runs in 2024 including Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker and Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
