UK model and influencer Rachel Mee, known online as Rachel Kaitlyn, has died suddenly at 25 years old.
Mee has a new baby boy — and this will be his first Christmas.
Mee’s cause of death has not yet been revealed, but a friend of the influencer created a GoFundMe to raise money for the baby. In the description, the friend seems to imply that she died by suicide.
“Hey everyone as we all know of the devastating news 18/12/2022 that kyro’s mummy Rachel Sadly lost her battle with the pressures of this world,” the fundraiser states.”
The fundraiser continues, “this Christmas will be Kyros first, and devastatingly his mummy will not be there, we are all so saddened with this devastating news how this world has failed such a beautiful young girl. and how she felt she had no other option to no longer be here. Leaving behind her beautiful little boy who she adored with all her heart. We feel if we can raise some funds for kyro’s future just to take a little stress away from Rachel’s family and to help in some way. Or to even give Kyro a little head start in life raising some funds in memory of his beautiful mummy.”
The creator, Claire Robinson, continued, “unfortunately this world has failed another beautiful person with the Pressures of life.”
Robinson asked, “let’s just do what we can to ease even just a little bit of pain for Rachel’s family and close friends. We are all deeply saddened by this sad news and if we can all come together in memory of the beautiful Geordie girl she was then let’s do what we can.”
The campaign had raised £293 in three days.
Mee had approximately 40,000 Instagram followers at the time of her death.
