Talk about someone who has no touch with reality. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who became infamous for sleeping with a Chinese spy, thinks the only reason Speaker Kevin McCarthy is removing him from his committees is because of petty revenge.
Swalwell was apparently watching Joy Reid’s MSNBC show Tuesday night and thought he spotted Florida Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) confirming Swalwell’s own delusion.

Swalwell then went off on Donalds after the Florida Congressman later responded on Twitter and Swalwell dug his hole a little deeper.

Oh yes, pointing to the corrupt, partisan, and incompetent FBI as proof of innocence certainly holds water. In addition, Swalwell still refuses to address the elephant in the room.
Luckily for him, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Speaker McCarthy have the real answer (h/t to Twitchy for first locating the tweets).

Of course, Swalwell was quite literally sleeping with the enemy. McCarthy then elaborates just how deep Swalwell’s relationship with Fang Fang went.

Removing Swalwell from his committees is a matter of national security, period. Kudos to McCarthy and the GOP on this.
