According to a timeline of events provided by Joe Biden’s lawyers, the classified documents were discovered at Penn Biden Center on November 2.
Joe Biden stored top-secret files with the “sensitive compartmented information” (SCIF) designation at Penn Biden Center in DC.
According to Biden’s lawyers: On November 9, 2022, the DOJ launched an assessment to understand whether the classified documents were mishandled.
On November 10, 2022: The DOJ informed Biden’s personal attorneys that it had launched the assessment.
On November 14, 2022, Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned US Attorney Lausch to oversee the review of the classified documents.
On November 30, 2022, Joe Biden cast doubt on a 2024 presidential bid.
