Accused murderer Vanroy Evan Smith
Vanroy Evan Smith, 39, the man accused of striking a biking doctor with his Lexus and then fatally stabbing the victim has been charged with murder.
Orange County, California – A bicyclist was struck by a driver then fatally stabbed on Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley Parkway in Dana Point on Wednesday afternoon in what is believed to be a racially motivated attack.
The Gateway Pundit obtained Ring/surveillance video from a nearby home showing the driver striking the bicyclist.
The video, which TGP decided not to post because it is too gruesome, shows the driver of a white Lexus quickly accelerating, striking the cyclist and sending him flying into the air.
Smith then quickly exited his vehicle and stabbed the victim.
The victim, identified as 58-year-old Michael John Mammone, a Laguna Beach ER doctor, died at the hospital.

A source told The Gateway Pundit that the attack may have been personal, however law enforcement says there is no known connection between the two men as this time.
According to ABC 7, a neighbor who witnessed the attack heard the suspect uttering racial slurs about “white privilege.”
“ABC7 spoke with a neighbor who declined to be interviewed on camera. She said her family heard what sounded like a “gunshot” before the attack. When they ran outside, she said, they heard the suspect uttering racial slurs about “white privilege.”” the outlet reported.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer charged Vanroy Evan Smith with one count of felony murder and one felony enhancement of the personal use of a knife.
Vanroy Evan Smith appeared in court in shackles on Friday and pleaded not guilty.
Smith faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life plus one year if convicted on all charges, the DA said.
Smith is currently being held in the Orange County jail on $1 million bond and will appear in court again on February 14.
