Watch How Quickly This Armed Thief Runs Away After He Sees A Hotel Clerk Pull Out Her Handgun (VIDEO)

The great American economist John R. Lott wrote a famous book called “More Guns, Less Crime,” which details how crime declines when states pass “shall issue” carry laws. A recently released video showing an incident involving a black male robber and a female hotel clerk provides a textbook example why his theory is spot-on.

The incident occurred at a Houston, Texas hotel back on January 16. Texas is not only a “shall issue” carry state but residents are also allowed to possess handguns without a permit as well.

In the video, the robber enters hotel with a mask on and armed with a rifle . He waits and fiddles with his rifle momentarily before springing into action.

He cocks his gun and then jumps on the hotel counter. He proceeds to point his rifle at the clerk and orders her to open the cash drawer.

The clerk agrees to do so. But when she opens the drawer, the thief gets the shock of his life.

No money is presented to the robber. Instead, he is staring down the barrel of a handgun.

Fearing for his life, the thief jumps off the counter and races out of the hotel.

Fox News reported Thursday:

A man in Houston attempted to rob a hotel while carrying a rifle, but appeared to be shocked when the hotel clerk pulled out a handgun of her own.

Houston police say that the suspect went to the counter with a rifle and demanded that a hotel clerk give him money from a cash drawer.

As the hotel clerk was being held at gunpoint with the rifle, police say that she pulled out a handgun of her own and pointed it at the suspect, who then fled the scene.

“I ain’t playing with you,” the man can be heard saying before running away from the counter.

The suspect is described as a “Black male, 20 to 25 years old, 6’2 to 6’4, 150 to 180 pounds, thin build, blue shirt, blue jeans and white shoes,” according to Houston police.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
