Stephen Miller Talks Tariffs and Trade Balance with Europe on Sunday Morning Futures (VIDEO)

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo to discuss tariffs and the trade balance between the US and Europe on Sunday.

“I was told by a source that President Trump is going to announce reciprocal tariffs against Europe,” Bartiromo said.

“Other nations all around the world use the VAT to get an unfair trade advantage against the United States,” Miller said.

“When you ship a car from the United States to Europe, if they let it in at all, cause of course they have non-tariff barriers, but between the VAT and duties, that car is taxed at 30 percent. The German car or a European car sent to America is taxed at 2.5 percent,” Miller continued.

“The President is making clear that we are going to pursue a policy of reciprocity. In other words if we are getting charged 30 percent by Europe, then we need to charge them 30 percent in return,” Miller continued.

Miller also told Bartiromo that Europe is unfairly targeting US tech companies with predatory fines.

“They are fining our tech companies billions and billions of dollars. These are revenues and jobs that should be here in the United States. Tech companies are subject to digital taxes, censorship and financial penalties that are tens of billions of dollars every single year. Obviously that has to go into the reciprocal treatment as well,” Miller continued.

“The President is going to insist on fair treatment. He is going to insist on equal treatment and he is going to defend American businesses and American enterprise,” Miller continued.

Bartiromo also discussed the liberal judge who was blocking Elon Musk’s effort with DOGE to access Department of Treasury records.

“What do you want to say about all this spending and the efforts by some of these liberal judges to stop President Trump from allowing Elon Musk to all of these issues?” Bartiromo asked.

“A radical left judge said that the Secretary of the Treasury cannot access the Treasury computer system. This is not just unconstitutional, that ruling is an assault on the very idea of democracy itself,” Miller declared.
