The Gateway Pundit reported that President Donald Trump held a press conference last week with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he announced the US would take over the Gaza Strip and redevelop it.
President Trump: The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site, and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job, do something different. Just can’t go back. If you, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years.
President Trump has now confirmed that under his, Palestinians would not be allowed to return to the Hamas-run enclave.
President Trump told Fox News’ Brett Baier on Sunday, “We’ll build beautiful communities for the 1.9 million people…we’ll build beautiful communities, safe communties…we’ll build safe communities a little bit away from where they are where all of this danger is.”
“In the meantime, I would own this. Think of this as real estate development for the future. It would be a beautiful piece of land.”
Baier asked the President if Palestinians would have the right to return.
Trump replied,“No, they wouldn’t, because they’re going to have much better housing. Much better.”
“In other words, I’m talking about building a permanent place for them because if they have to return now, it’ll be years before you could ever — it’s not habitable,” he continued.
“It would be years before it could happen.”
