Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has found an example of excess spending to beat all others.
As Musk and histeam analyze the profligate spending ot the federal governemnt, they have discovered that a staggering $168,000 was set aside for a museum exhibit dedicated to Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The exhibit was supposed to takae place at the NIH History and Stetten Museum in Maryland and would have opened in July.
“In the past 48 hours, HHS canceled 62 contract worth $182 million,” DOGE said in a post on the X platform.
“These contracts were entirely for administrative expenses – none touched any healthcare programs.”

Quite what the purpose of the exhibit was remains unclear, although it presumably celebrated Fauci’s long and prestigious career working for government agencies.
The 84-year-old, who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022 and was the architect of lockdown policies, recently received a pardon by Joe Biden hours before he left office.
This unfortunately means that he will evade prosecution for the countless crimes he committed before, during and after the coronavirus pandemic that ruined millions of lives.
These crimes are set out in detail by Trump’s incoming director of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in his book The Real Anthony Fauci.
However, there are reports that some Republican attorneys general are looking to file state charges against him.
Last month, Trump confirmed that he had cut off funding for Fauci’s security detail.
“I think, you know, when you work for government, at some point your security detail comes off and, you know, you can’t have them forever,” Trump said at the time.
“We took some off other people, too, but you can’t have a security detail for the rest of your life because you work for government,” he added.
