Donald Trump has indicated he may be ready to endorse Rep. Byron Donalds as the next governor of Florida.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump shared a poll from Victory Polling showing that Donalds is way out in front of fellow Republican primary candidates in the race for Florida’s governorship.
According to Victory Insights, Donalds is currently commanding 31 percent support in a hypothetical Republican primary.
Other candidates including Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez, Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez are lagging behind on four, three and one percent respectively.

Trump also shared an image showing some of the individuals who have already endorsed Donalds’ candidacy, despite the fact he has not formally announced.
Among them include White House AI and crypto tzar David Sacks, billionaire businessman Marc Andreessen and Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.
While not foolproof, an endorsement from the president is very likely to tip the race in favor of Donalds should he decide to run.
A rising star with the GOP, Donalds was first elected to Congress in 2020 having previously worked in finance before a stint in the Florida House of Representatives.
A staunch America First conservative, he has been a vocal supporter of Trump and was even touted as a possible running mate.
Last month, he told Fox News that he plans to have an “America First” bill on Trump’s desk by April.
“I think the job right now is specifically in the House is putting together the overall package,” Donalds said.
“There is gonna have to be some reforms, there is gonna have to be some cuts and so when you put all that stuff together with border security which is gonna be essential to all of this just like tax policy, we can deliver it, it’s just working through the finer points,” he added.
