President Donald Trump jabbed ABC News and Bloomberg reporters during the swearing-in of Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick in the Oval Office on Friday.
During the ceremony, Trump took impromptu questions from the press, something we never saw during the Biden administration.
First, an ABC News reporter asked the president about criticisms of DOGE and Elon Musk.
“Who do you work for?” Trump asked.
The reporter replied, “I work for ABC News, sir.”
“Who?” Trump asked.
“ABC News,” the reporter repeated.
“No wonder,” Trump said.
REPORTER: *asks dumb question*
Trump: “Who do you work for?”
REPORTER: “ABC News.”
TRUMP: “No wonder…”

Trump also caused Bloomberg’s Kate Sullivan some grief when she attempted to ask him a question while reading her notes.
“We are reporting that you were signing a memo later to counter Digital Service taxes?” Sullivan asked.
“Well, will you speak–. I mean, what are you doing, reading it?” Trump replied.
“Yeah, it’s my question,” the reporter followed up.
Trump replied, “Can’t you just say it without having to read it?”
“My question?” Sullivan asked.
“Yeah,” Trump replied.
“Oh, sure. Bloomberg. We’re reporting that you’re expected to sign tariffs or a memo later on tariffs on digital taxes. Is there any idea how high you might go with those tariffs?”

Trump answered, “We are going to be doing that. Digital. What they’re doing to us in other countries is terrible with digital.”
“So we’ll be announcing that. Are we signing it maybe today?” Trump asked an aide.
“Today,” the aide replied.
“How high will you go?” Sullivan followed up.
Trump informed her, “we’ll talk about that in a little while.”
