Rumble and Trump Media File New Lawsuit in US Court Against Tyrannical Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Moraes, Who Is Censoring, Fining and Blocking Social Media Platforms

It was about time that someone took the fight head on to Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes and his transnational efforts to threaten, bully, censor, fine and even block US social platforms unless they comply to his often-illegal requests.

The urgent task of confronting Moraes fell to video platform Rumble and to Trump Media & Technology.

Both companies have yesterday (22) filed a second lawsuit in United States Court against Justice Moraes.
The companies question another tyrannical set of decisions by Moraes on Friday (21), ordering Rumble to be blocked in Brazil, imposing a daily fine of around $10,000 and mandating the appointment of a legal representative for the platform based in the country.

G1 reported (translated from the Portuguese):

“In the document, Rumble and Trump Media request the granting of a precautionary measure so that they are not forced to comply with Moraes’ determinations. The action requests an immediate enforcement measure.

‘In the absence of immediate judicial intervention and injunctive relief, plaintiffs will suffer further irreparable harm, including loss of First Amendment freedom, additional operational challenges, and a permanent erosion of user trust’, says the document to which TV Globo and g1 had access.”

The struggle between Moraes and billionaire Elon Musk further woke up conservatives to the risk the Justice also presents to the US.

Rumble’s stated mission is to ‘protect a free and open internet’, which makes it a perfect target for Moraes.

“The platform does business with Trump’s communications group and has also received investments from people close to the Republican, including the current US Vice President, JD Vance.

In the new lawsuit filed, the companies claim that Moraes is bypassing legal channels and ‘deliberately circumventing U.S. government oversight’.”

On February 19, Rumble initiated its first lawsuit against Justice Moraes, filed jointly with Trump Media & Technology Group.

The plaintiffs accuse Moraes of censorship, and ask for a US court ruling guaranteeing that his orders to take down Rumble user accounts have no legal effect in the US.
