The mayor of Boston has offered her condolences to the family of a knife-wielding homicidal manic who was killed by police on Saturday.
According to the Boston Police Department, a man armed with a knife was shot and killed inside a Chick-fil-A in Copley Square while attempting to stab two people.
Fortunately, an off-duty police officer was present in the restaurant, identified himself to the assailant, and urged him to drop his knife.
“The officer then instructed the man to drop the weapon, to which he did not comply,” Boston police Commissioner Michael Cox said.
‘The officer then discharged his weapon to stop the threat, and the armed man was struck.”
“He was then taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
”The officer was transported to a hospital for evaluation, but at this time, there are no other reported injuries.’”
Addressing the media on Saturday evening, Mayor Michelle Wu said her “condolences and all of our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost.”

Cox also offered his condolences to the man’s family.
“We don’t look for loss of life and our condolences go out to the family of the individual,” he said.
“We are also proud our police officers, whether on-duty or off-duty, who activate themselves to help save lives.”
Wu, meanwhile, is one of America’s most radical Democratic mayors.
Back in 2023, she held a Christmas party exclusively for non-white members of the city council.

She has also pledged to try and block Donald Trump’s efforts at carrying out mass deportations by ordering the city’s law enforcement to deny cooperation with ICE or other federal agencies.
