President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Secret Service is investigating after multiple aircraft violated airspace over Palm Beach on Saturday.

Newsmax host Todd Starnes reported on Saturday that three aircraft were escorted out of the area by F-16 fighter jets at 11:05 am, 12:10 pm and 12:50 pm.

During two of the intercepts, the fighter jets had to deploy flares, and all three planes were safely escorted out of the restricted airspace.

The Secret Service is investigating the breach of restricted airspace.

USSS spokesman Anthony Guglielmi released a statement to Real Clear Politics reporter Susan Crabtree:

“The interdiction was conducted according to established NORAD protocols,” and referred to NORAD for further questions about their protocols.

“Initial reports indicate the civilian aircraft inadvertently entered the restricted airspace over Palm Beach. Our protective intelligence teams are investigating further. Pilots are reminded to consult the FAA’s Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) before all flights,” Guglielmi said in an emailed statement.

The Secret Service is investigating what appears to be an inadvertent breach of restricted air space Saturday over Palm Beach – and Mar-a-Lago – that caused US military to scramble jets to escort multiple civilian aircraft out of the restricted zone.

Last month, The Palm Beach Post reported that three airspace violations occurred in February while President Trump was staying at Mar-a-Lago.

“A spokesperson for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, confirmed Wednesday that there were three airspace violations of the imposed presidential protected space during Trump’s six-day visit to Mar-a-Lago, his mansion in Palm Beach. Two occurred on Feb. 15 and one on Presidents Day, Feb. 17,” the Palm Beach Post reported last month.
