Congressman Brandon Gill (R-TX) is introducing legislation to put Donald Trump on the $100 bill.
In a post on the X platform, Gill said he was introducing the “Golden Age Act” that would celebrate America’s “historic rebirth.”
“I’m introducing the GOLDEN AGE ACT to put President Donald J. Trump on the $100 bill,” Gill wrote.
”America is experiencing an historic rebirth under President Trump—his legacy deserves to be immortalized.”
“Washington. Lincoln. Reagan. TRUMP. It’s time to make history.”
Gill told Fox News that the changes would go into effect after Trump leaves office in the beginning of 2029.
“President Trump could be enjoying his golden years golfing and spending time with his family,” Gill said.
“Instead, he took a bullet for this country and is now working overtime to secure our border, fix our uneven trade relationship with the rest of the world, make America energy independent again and put America first by ending useless foreign aid,” he continued.

If approved, his legislation would instruct the Treasury Secretary to unveil a “preliminary design” of the bill by the close of 2026, aiming to introduce the notes into circulation starting in 2029.
First issued in 1862, the $100 has long featured the face Benjamin Franklin, a Founding Father known for his contributions to American independence and finance.
Over time, the bill has undergone numerous design changes, with the most recent update in 2013 enhancing security features.
Last week, Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina put forward similar legislation to put Trump’s face on the new $250 note.
Gill, who is a first-term Congressman, is known to be a fervent supporter of President Trump.
Last month, he urged his supporters to sign a petition calling for far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar to be arrested and deported to Somalia for treason against the United States.
