After a tenure mired in controversy, former Dalton, Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyward lost her bid for re-election when she suffered a landslide loss in the Democratic primary.

Her opponent, Village Trustee Jason House, won almost 88% of the votes, while Henyard could barely manage 12%.

The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on allegations and investigations into Henyard dubbed “the worst mayor in America.”

Henyard’s boyfriend, Kamal Woods, has also become embroiled in the controversies including reports of impending eviction from their home.

In January, Woods allegedly was involved in a brawl with constituents during a town hall meeting.

Now, a federal subpoena has been issued requesting records from Henyard and others tied to her and her administration.

According to FOX 32 Chicago, the subpoena is tied to a development project involving land once reportedly owned by

Henyard has been under FBI investigation for abusing her power after she shut down businesses that didn’t donate to her campaign.

Henyard’s failed leadership was so concerning that local residents hired failed former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate.

When Lightfoot presented the findings, there were audible gasps at the extent of the accusations of reckless spending, including spending $40,000 at Amazon in one day.

The report revealed that Dolton has a deficit of at least $3.6 million, with more than $6 million in additional checks owed to village vendors that it can’t afford to pay.

According to ABC News, Beau Brindley, an attorney for Woods, shared the following statement on Friday: “Mr. Woods has done nothing wrong. He has nothing to hide. He looks forward to seeing his name cleared of any suggestion of wrongdoing.”
