Disney’s woke remake of Snow White is on course for a disappointing opening weekend.
The live-action remake of the classic children’s fairy tale is projected to make just $45 million from its box-office debut, meaning Disney is likely to experience a major loss against its massive $250 million theatrical budget.

The latest drought plaguing the box office has only been relieved somewhat by Disney’s “Snow White,” which earned $16 million from 4,200 theaters on its opening day and is earning a tepid $48 million opening weekend.
That result meets pre-release projections of a $45-50 million launch for the movie, but “Snow White” will need remarkable legs to break even theatrically against its $250 million-plus budget before marketing costs.
Most notably, the film has earned a B+ on CinemaScore, marking the first time that a Disney remake polled by CinemaScore did not earn an A- or higher from opening day moviegoers.
As well as receiving underwhelming reviews, the film has also been marred with controversies, mainly related to far-left actress Rachel Zelder.
Zegler has sparked controversy for dismissing the 1937 classic by calling Prince Charming a “stalker” and promising a feminist overhaul in which Snow White dreams of becoming a “leader” rather than falling in love.

She has also turned off audiences by making no secret of her militant left-wing views.
Following President Trump’s election victory, Zegler went on an unhinged rant against Trump supporters and declared that they “should not know peace.”
“There is a deep, deep sickness in this country that is shown in the sheer amount of people who showed up for this man who threatens our democracy,” she explained at the time.
“May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace,” she later followed up.
Disney also replaced the seven dwarfs with a group of diverse, non-dwarf characters after actor Peter Dinklage criticized the original portrayal as “fucking backwards.”
Critics argued that this erased opportunities for actors who are dwarfs and also undermined the original story in which their kindness helps Snow White survive.
