Infamous CNN hack Kaitlan Collins was humiliated on her show Wednesday night after inviting Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins (no relation) in an effort to pit him against the rest of the Trump Administration on the signal chat incident.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jeffrey Goldberg, the Trump-hating editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen and called them “war plans.”

But instead of leaving the conversation, Goldberg took screenshots of the conversation and ran to his keyboard to try to leak the military operation. Team Trump angrily fired back and called Goldberg a liar, saying no war plans were discussed.

Then, Goldberg and his co-worker Shane Harris published details of the military plans against the Houthis to call Team Trump’s bluff and humiliate Trump. But Goldberg ended up accidentally proving them right by now referring to the military operations as “attack plans.”

The CNN hack opened by asking VA Secretary Collins about what happened. He replied that he had nothing to do with it, but Kaitlan was unsatisfied.

“Do you believe a mistake was made to have this conversation and to add a reporter…to have it on an unsupported group setting,” Kaitlan Collins asked.

Doug Collins reiterated that he had already answered her question and was not part of it. He then said he wanted to talk about veterans since this was in his realm of expertise.

But Kaitlan continued to badger the VA Secretary about the overblown signal chat incident. Instead of playing her game, Doug turned the tables on her by asking a damning question.

“Well, Kaitlan, since you do not want to talk about the VA, I have a question as VA secretary I want to ask you,” he retorted. “I would like to know why CNN is hostile to veterans, especially one in Florida where you just had a $5 million defamation suit who was just trying to help people.”

“In fact, one of your employees said, ‘We are going to nail him,’” he continued. I have a question for you, Kaitlan: Is that employee still employed? Are you really concerned about veterans?

“So if we don’t want to talk about veterans but you want to talk about everything else, I’d like to hear from CNN as the VA cabinet secretary why CNN seems to have a problem with veterans.

For context, CNN settled a lawsuit brought by a US Navy veteran named Zachary Young regarding a 2021 segment on evacuations in Afghanistan back in January after a jury found that the network defamed him. Young was awarded $5 million in compensatory damages.

Young is an American hero who should have been lauded for helping save lives. But as Breitbart notes, CNN’s Jake Tapper decided to characterize Young as a black market operator exploiting helpless Afghans for money to get them out of the country.

CNN correspondent Alex Marquardt also said he wanted to “nail this Zachary Young motherf***er” and vowed that the story would be Young’s “funeral.”

Kaitlan Collins responded to the VA secretary’s damning question by trying to spin her way out of the jam, but the VA Secretary continued to press her to answer. The CNN hack then rambled about how they would eventually talk about veterans issues before Doug Collins shut her down.

“No, Kaitlan. What you want to do is talk about a subject which I have already given you the answer to, he said. “There are veterans employees who are working very hard, veterans who get their care from the VA, and get their benefits from the VA.

“And it does me no good to speculate on something that I’ve already asked and answered, Doug Collins continued. “Now that I’ve answered your question, why don’t you answer mine? Is that person still employed who said they were going to nail one of my veterans?

Kaitlan Collins, of course, had no answer.
