Interesting…FBI Director Kash Patel Names Former Domestic Terrorism Section Chief Steven Jensen to Run FBI Washington Field Office

Steven Jensen, formerly of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section, has reportedly been selected to lead the Washington DC Field Office

In a head-scratching move, FBI Director Kash Patel has reportedly appointed Steven Jensen to lead the coveted FBI Washington Field Office.  According to the New York Times, Jensen “played a key role in responding to the attack on the Capitol” on January 6th.

Jensen was then tasked as the Section Chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section, according to former FBI Agent Kyle Seraphin.  Seraphin, a whistleblower and member of a group of persecuted federal agent whistleblowers known as “The Suspendables,” said that the Domestic Terrorism group was “fixated” on Jan. 6.  Jensen conducted two daily calls with law enforcement across the country regarding the protest, where he “breathlessly exclaimed the country was under attack by J6ers,” according to a former FBI National Security Intelligence Supervisor.

The New York Times writes:

Mr. Jensen was also responsible for establishing a system to monitor incidents of violence at school board meetings across the country as potential acts of domestic terrorism — one of the most serious complaints that Mr. Patel himself had about the F.B.I. under the Biden administration.

The decision from Director Patel is odd considering his criticism of the treatment of many Jan. 6 protesters.  Meanwhile, many aspects of that day still remain unaddressed by the Bureau, including the Jan. 6 pipe bomber’s identity, which was a frequent topic on now-Assistant Director Dan Bongino’s Rumble podcast, and the number of FBI Agents or assets that were in the crowd that day, also something AD Bongino has alluded to previously on his podcast.

Prior to being pegged to lead the D.C. Field Office, in 2020-2021 Jensen served a stint in the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section at FBI Headquarters in D.C.  Before that, he was the Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Jackson, Mississippi Field Office from 2017-2020.  And from 2014-2017, he led the Rockford Resident Agency in Chicago.

Jensen was also a firearms instructor at Quantico from 2012-2014 following six years as a Special Agent in the New York Field Office, where he investigated health care fraud, domestic terrorism, and Asian organized crime.  He was also a member of the SWAT team and a firearms and defensive tactics instructor, according to FBI.gov.

Several members of a group of persecuted FBI Whistleblowers known as “The Suspendables” have taken to X to question this appointment:

That is a giant middle finger to Americans. Jensen led the twice-daily nation wide conference calls where he breathlessly exclaimed the country was under attack by J6ers. He was central to the “our democracy is under attack” narrative.

If Chris Wray and Paul Abbate picked the WFO ADIC, he’d look like Steve Jensen https://t.co/YNz2I8q0GC

This can’t be ignored:

According the @TomFitton, Steve Jensen was just promoted to the top job at the FBI’s Washington Field Office (ADIC).

Jensen was the Section Chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section which fixated on J6 and ran 2x DAILY calls about J6 to cops… https://t.co/J7Y5Sj6N7I

There is no formal acknowledgement of Jensen’s selection yet on the FBI website nor the Washington Field Office’s social media or website.
