GERMANY AWAKENING: Alice Weidel’s Right-Wing AfD Party Is Now Leading the Polls Ahead of Incoming Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s CDU

Incoming Chancellor Friedrich Merz sees right-wingers from AfD moving ahead in the polls before he can even take on power.

As the incoming German Chancellor Friedrich Merz concludes the coalition talks with Olad Scholz’s SPD, and betrays his voters by spousing the same suicidal EU policies he was elected to change, the voters show they are moving away from the mainstream.

A new poll by Ipsos is out today, showing for the first time the right-wing AfD party as the sole leader, ahead of Merz’s CDU.

Besides celebrating the good news, on X, Weidel also criticized Merz’s coalition with the liberal SPD: “The representation of Germany’s interests and those of German taxpayers is not reflected in a single sentence of this coalition agreement. High energy prices, the heating law, and billions of dollars wasted on open borders, illegal migration, and green ideology projects remain in place.”

Weidel’s AfD continues to surge in the polls.

European Conservative reported:

“The right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is leading German opinion polls for the first time in its history, and has also recorded its highest ever support.

According to pollster Ipsos, AfD, which came in second in the recent national elections with a result of 20.8%, currently has the support of 25% of the electorate.”

Weidel defends mass deportation of illegal migrants.

Weidel further said ‘the citizens want political change—and not a ‘business as usual’ coalition consisting of the CDU/CSU and SPD!’.

“The center-right CDU/CSU alliance is on the verge of signing a coalition deal with the Social Democrats (SPD) but the alliance has lost the support of many of its voters due to the broken campaign promises of CDU leader Friedrich Merz.

He has given in to left-wing demands by making a U-turn on his pledge to pursue tough anti-immigration policies, as well as his promise not to reform the so-called ‘debt brake,’ the constitutionally enshrined cap on borrowing.

The CDU/CSU’s support has dropped from the 28.5% it received in the elections to 24% today.”
