In February, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) announced his candidacy for governor of Florida in 2026.
Donalds, always willing to get in front of voters, attended a town hall on Monday at Estero High School in South Florida.
A small group of unhinged leftists is disrupting town halls across the country to manufacture outrage and Donalds’ event was no different.
A pro-Palestine protester tried to disrupt the event and shut down attempts at meaningful dialogue. They don’t want a conversation; they want to indulge in a public tantrum.
As Donalds calmly spoke, the woman began shrieking at him about Gaza, screaming, “How many more children in Palestine have to die? They are not Hamas.”
She yelled some more, but her hysterics made the remarks unintelligible.
Donalds shut the woman down masterfully.
“The Palestinians voted for Hamas. So if you want to have a shouting match with me, let’s have a shouting match on the facts.”
“The truth is, Hamas held an election, one time, one time,then not again, because they prefer to keep the Palestian people under their boot.”
“So if you’re going to ask who has blood on your hands, it is Hamas and it is the people that empower them. That’s the truth. If you want to continue to have a shouting match with me at least come with the facts. Next question,” Donalds added to cheers from the crowd.
The woman continued to shriek unintelligibly and Donalds told her, “If you want to have a disagreement, let’s have a disagreement. But when you are going to stand and yell and disrespect everyone in this room, because you think you’re being heard, and let’s be clear, you’re not.”
“What you’re doing is yelling now, and you’re being disrespectful. You, ma’am, you are being disrespectful. And I will respect you. And I will honor the fact that you are here trying to get answers.”
“But if you’re gonna hold this thing up and be disrespectful, then it’s time for you to be removed.”
“You can leave.”
The woman was then escorted out by law enforcement, still unable to conduct herself with any respect or decorum, shouting, “Free, free Palestine!”

On Wednesday, Donalds joined Fox News to discuss Democrats efforts to disrupt town halls and silence free speech, promising they will be met with the truth, facts, reality and common sense.
