‘Why the Sudden Change of Heart?’: A Deportation History Lesson for Democrats (Video)

by May 4, 2025
May 4, 2025

While Democrats beg for the return of an illegal who roused himself in the middle of the night to slap his wife, they seem to forget their long history of embracing deportation efforts by anyone except President Trump.

A viral video uses the Democrats’ own words to underscore that point.

Narrator: Remember this.

Barack Obama: If you’re a criminal, you’ll be deported. If you plan to enter the US Illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up. The actions I’m taking are not only lawful, they’re the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president and every single Democratic president for the past half century.

Narrator: You wouldn’t believe that looking at the media today, though, they act like Trump is the worst, most evil person ever for deporting illegal alien criminals. Yet Obama, Bill Clinton, and other Democrats were all on board with this for years up until Trump, and they’re on tape saying so.

Hillary Clinton: Committed a crime, Deport them, no questions asked. They’re gone.

Bill Clinton: The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more. By hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens.

Chuck Schumer: We use phrases like ‘undocumented workers,’ we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration.

Narrator: Oh, really?

Barack Obama: We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked.

Bill Clinton: We will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace.

Narrator: This is your reminder that Obama deported 5.3 million people and Bill Clinton deported 12.3 million. They were fine with it.

Then why the sudden change of heart?
