A woman spat on Acting DC US Attorney Ed Martin on Thursday afternoon while he was interviewing with Newsmax.
“We need to stay focused,” Ed Martin said during an interview with Newsmax when he was interrupted by a leftist protester who approached him.
Ed Martin backed up as the woman became aggressive and spat on him.
“Whoa!” Ed Martin said.
“You’re a disgusting man!” the woman said as she walked away with her dog in tow.

On Thursday President Trump said he will pull Ed Martin’s nomination for DC US Attorney and announce his replacement soon after Senator Tillis derailed the confirmation due to political reasons.
“He’s a terrific person,” Trump said of Ed Martin. “He wasn’t getting the support from people that I thought. He’s done a very good job. Crime is down 25% in DC.”
“We have somebody else that will be great. I just want to say, Ed is unbelievable. Hopefully we can bring him into, whether it’s DOJ or whatever in some capacity,” Trump said.
President Trump is seriously considering Judge Jeanine Pirro to fill in as interim US Attorney for DC after he pulled Ed Martin’s nomination.
According to ABC News, Trump could make the announcement as early as Thursday afternoon or evening.
