RINO Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) openly rebuked President Trump’s bold new plan to slash sky-high prescription drug prices during a Senate hearing on Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Drug Pricing.

During a heated Senate hearing on Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and drug pricing, Tillis took aim at Trump’s executive order, calling the  “Most Favored Nation” (MFN) policy “shortsighted” and “unsustainable.”

Rather than stand with working Americans crushed by obscene prescription costs, Tillis chose to parrot talking points straight from the pharmaceutical lobby’s playbook.

“The ‘Most Favored Nation’ coming out of the administration, all these other things are short-sighted, unsustainable measures that are not going to produce the result. I do believe all of us on this committee want to achieve. It’s not the what, but we’ve got a very wide range of how,” said Tillis.

Classic RINO. Classic Swamp.

WATCH:

IT’S TIME TO PRIMARY TILLIS. Don Brown, a conservative attorney, best-selling author, and former U.S. Navy JAG officer, has officially declared his candidacy for the 2026 U.S. Senate race — targeting Tillis in the GOP primary.

While grassroots Republicans and working-class Americans cheer this move, D.C. elites are bristling.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune also showed signs of cold feet, telling Punchbowl News that codifying Trump’s EO into law would be “fairly controversial.”

Desiderio wrote, “Thune says Trump’s EO on prescription drug pricing would be “fairly controversial” if done legislatively. “He clearly wants to lower drug prices. It’s something that, like a lot of other issues, he’s had a passion about and believed in for a long time. So he’s acting on that.””

He added, “Thune and other [Republican] leaders have long opposed price-fixing efforts for prescription drugs.”
