17 House Republicans—led by Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN)—have issued a fiery letter demanding that Speaker Mike Johnson stop playing politics and start delivering results by codifying President Trump’s executive orders into law.

The letter obtained by Breitbart is a scathing indictment of Speaker Johnson’s lack of urgency.

It warns that President Trump’s transformative agenda, launched the moment he returned to office on January 20, is in danger of being wiped away by a future Democrat president unless Congress acts decisively.

“But let’s be clear: unless Congress acts, many of these victories are at risk. A future Democrat president could erase them with the stroke of a pen. We cannot let that happen. If we want this new era of American greatness to last, we must codify the President’s actions into law,” the letter warns bluntly.

President Trump has already done the hard work through executive orders to rein in government waste, gut the bureaucratic swamp, defeat leftist cultural insanity, and restore the rule of law. But these victories remain fragile unless locked into permanent legislation.

The lawmakers praised Trump’s efforts to restore fiscal sanity and shrink the bloated federal bureaucracy, but they slammed Johnson’s timid leadership for failing to capitalize on this historic opportunity.

While the 119th Congress passed a reconciliation package at “record pace,” they argue, that same energy is missing when it comes to enshrining the Trump agenda.

“House Republicans have already introduced numerous bills to enshrine the Trump agenda—from securing the border to reigning in the excesses of the administrative state. We urge you to make this legislation a top priority. If there is anything we can do to move this forward, we stand ready,” the letter states.

The lawmakers reminded Johnson that “the American people sent us here to deliver lasting change—not temporary relief. It is Congress’s duty to work hand in hand with President Trump to ensure the agenda the American people elected this President and this Congress to enact becomes the law of the land. Now is the time to act.”

The letter was signed by prominent America First voices, including:

  • Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN)
  • Rep. Keith Self (R-TX)
  • Rep. Mark Harris (R-NC)
  • Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA)
  • Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA)
  • Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL)
  • Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL)
  • Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ)
  • Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX)
  • Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC)
  • Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-IN)
  • Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO)
  • Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX)
  • Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX)
  • Rep. Ben Cline (R-VA)
  • Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN)
  • Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ)

This is far from the first time conservatives have sounded the alarm over Speaker Johnson’s lackluster performance. Critics have slammed him for dragging his feet, cutting backroom deals with Democrats, and failing to wield the GOP majority with the strength and clarity voters demanded.

According to political commentator Amuse, the current GOP-controlled Congress sent fewer bills to President Trump to sign into law than any Congress in 70 years.
