Once again, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama made a point of showing to the world just how deep his respect and admiration for his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni goes – or maybe it’s love?
As Meloni arrived in the red carpet on a rainy day in Tirana for the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, Rama put down his umbrella, went down on one knee and joined his hands as if in prayer, while an embarrassed – but seemingly charmed – Meloni begged him to stand up.
This became news all over the world, with the Hindustani Times writing, in jest: ‘Elon will be jealous’.

You can chalk it up to a sense of drama by Rama, and the close partnership between the countries due to the immigration agreement, in which Albania allowed Italy to set up migrant camps for failed ‘asylum seekers’ – a program that, so far, is being thwarted by Globalists in the Italian judiciary.
But what if I tell you that this is NOT the first time that Rama has knelt in utter devotion for Meloni?
Back in January 15, in Abu Dhabi, Meloni celebrated her birthday in a very special way: Politico had just named her the ‘most powerful person in Europe’, and she was working hard to solve the energy crisis afflicting Italy and all of Europe.
In Abu Dhabi, UAE, during a trilateral summit along with her Sultan al-Jaber and Albania’s Edi Rama, she was surprised when Rama presented her with a luxurious scarf, serenaded her in celebration her 48th birthday by singing ‘Tanti auguri’, and calling the PM ‘Her Majesty’.

And there’s more: British PM Keir Starmer tried to co-opt Rama into allowing the UK to also establish ‘return hubs’ to deal with his pressing migration woes, since Albania hosts two migration centers for illegals from Italy. Rama publicly rejected the proposal. But here’s how he did it:
“’I have been very clear since day one when we started this process with Italy [migrant centers] that this was a one-off with Italy because of our very close relation but also because of the geographical situation, which makes a lot of sense. We have been asked by several countries if we are open to it and we said no because we are loyal to the marriage with Italy’.”
