ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: European Leaders Call On the EU To Simplify Process To Expel Criminal Migrants

Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and Denmark’s Mette Fredrikson are heading this group of 9 countries alongside Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

All across Europe, the native populations of all nations find themselves at breaking point, pressured by the suicidal EU policy of unchecked mass migration.

In most countries, a strong pushback is ongoing, and every national leadership tries its way to escape the paralyzing rules emanating from Brussels.

Now, a group of nine European countries led by Italy and Denmark has called on the EU to facilitate the process for member states to expel foreign criminals.

Reuters reported:

“European governments have expressed frustration with how the European Court of Human Rights uses the European Convention on Human Rights to block deportations and they want to see it revised.”

The letter was prepared ahead of a meeting on Thursday (22) between Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Denmark’s Mette Frederiksen, urges the EU to review how courts interpret the convention.

“’We have seen cases concerning the expulsion of criminal foreign nationals, where the interpretation of the Convention has resulted in the protection of the wrong people and posed too many limitations on the states´ ability to decide whom to expel from their territories’, the letter said.”

The group of member states demand more room ‘to decide on when to expel criminal foreign nationals.’

“The letter was signed by the leaders of Denmark, Italy, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.”

Migration-loving Brussels is pushing back against the initiative.

Needless to say, the Brussels establishment quickly reacted in an effort to maintain the status quo at all costs.

Today (24), the head of the Council of Europe pushed back against the move by the nine EU countries.

Politico reported:

“COE Secretary-General Alain Berset warned that courts must not be “weaponized” for political gain.

[…] Berset hit back at the group, saying in a statement that ‘upholding the independence and impartiality of the Court is our bedrock’.

He added that while political debate is ‘healthy’ in any democracy, ‘politicizing the Court is not’, and warned that ‘no judiciary should face political pressure’.

‘Institutions that protect fundamental rights cannot bend to political cycles. If they do, we risk eroding the very stability they were built to ensure’, Berset insisted.”
