President Trump on Monday responded to questions about the alleged physical altercation between Elon Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Elon Musk’s alleged drug use.
The President did not confirm nor deny the reports when asked during an Invest in America Roundtable in the State Dining Room.
Musk was sporting a mysterious black eye last month during a press conference on his final day as Department of Government Efficiency leader. This led to speculation that someone in the administration punched Musk after he stepped out of line.
As The Gateway Pundit recently reported, former Trump strategist and War Room host Steve Bannon claimed last week that tech billionaire Elon Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent literally came to blows inside the White House over a heated disagreement regarding the future leadership of the IRS.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Saturday confirmed there was a “disagreement” but said she “wouldn’t describe it as a fistfight.”
Likewise, Trump acknowledged that “They did have an argument, but I didn’t see it.” He continued, “I didn’t see a lot of physicality there.”
Asked about New York Times reporting, alleging that Musk “juggled drugs” during the 2024 election cycle and was “using drugs far more intensely than previously known,” the President said he doesn’t think he was using drugs, namely in the White House.
This comes amid recent tension between the President and Musk, which appears to have quelled in recent days, with Musk showing support for the Trump Administration on Sunday night.
President Trump reportedly said on Friday morning that Musk had “lost his mind” after the billionaire tech mogul relentlessly attacked Trump, claiming he could not have won the 2024 election without Musk’s support, calling for his impeachment, and accusing Trump of being implicated in the Epstein scandal.

But now it appears that the fight is over, and the two are ready to make peace.
“Look, I wish him well. You understand, we had a good relationship, and I just wish him well, very well, actually,” President Trump said.
