Gavin Newsom’s Attempt to Dunk on Pete Hegseth for Attending Congressional Baseball Game Blows Up in His Face When the DoD Claps Back with a Devastating Picture (PHOTO)

California Governor Gavin Newsom continues to embarrass himself with his dereliction of duty regarding the LA riots and those acting to solve the crisis. He once again ended up red-faced after attacking Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for doing something millions of ordinary Americans do every year: attending a sporting event.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Republicans last night once again dominated the Democrats in the annual Congressional Baseball Game — this time with a blowout 13‑2 rout, extending their winning streak to five straight years and further affirming GOP superiority on and off the field.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and his family were in attendance to watch the good guys prevail.

Newsom was triggered by the thought that Hegseth would dare take a few hours out of his demanding schedule to attend a ball game and lashed out at him on X.

“Pete sent 4,700 troops here (when they weren’t needed) without adequate fuel, food, water, or a place to sleep,” Newsom wrote. “But don’t worry, he’s at a baseball game.”

But sending this message out to the world turned out to be a big mistake. As we all know, this administration does not play around when getting attacked by the media and the radical left.

The Department of Defense responded to Newsom’s cheap shot with a devastating photograph showing Los Angeles up in flames while a rioter waves the Mexican flag.

“Weren’t needed,” the caption reads.

What a perfect symbolism of Newsom’s lack of ‘leadership’ and judgement that picture represents. It will continue to be used against the California governor and his fellow Democrats for years to come.
