Clashes Erupt in Egypt as Locals Confront Pro-Gaza Activists En Route to Border — Dozens Deported Ahead of Planned March to Gaza (VIDEO)

Chaos erupted on the streets of Cairo as patriotic Egyptian citizens clashed with foreign pro-Gaza activists attempting to hijack Egyptian soil for a radical anti-Israel march.

The so-called “Global March to Gaza,” billed as a peaceful humanitarian push, devolved into confrontations and mass deportations as Egypt made clear it will not tolerate foreign reckless activism on its borders.

Over 200 radical activists, many hailing from the United States, Europe, and Muslim-majority nations, descended upon Egypt this week with one mission: breach the Rafah border crossing with Gaza on Friday to demand an end to Israel’s blockade.

But they were met not with Egyptian hospitality—but with national resistance, airport detentions, and deportation orders, according to Al Jazeera.

Saif Abukeshek, spokesperson for the Global March to Gaza, told the AFP news agency that more than 200 activists had been detained at Cairo airport or questioned at hotels in the city.

Among those detained were nationals from the United States, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Algeria and Morocco.

He told AFP that plainclothes officers had gone to Cairo hotels on Wednesday with lists of names, questioning activists, searching their belongings and confiscating their phones in some cases.

“After interrogations, some were arrested and others were released,” he said, adding that some had been deported after being detained at Cairo airport.

A group of Greek activists said in a statement that dozens of their contingent had been detained at Cairo airport “despite having all legal travel documents, having broken no law and followed every legal procedure in entering the country”.

According to Egyptian officials speaking anonymously to the Associated Press, more than three dozen activists were deported on arrival at Cairo International Airport, with at least 73 kicked out via a flight to Istanbul on Thursday alone.

One viral video shows an organizer whining after Egyptian authorities forcibly placed her on a deportation bus and tossed her passport aside.

One of the ‘Global March to Gaza’ organisers just got her passport confiscated and thrown on a bus—after her friends were beaten.

Not by Israel. By Egypt.

Turns out blindly following Greta into the Middle East isn’t just cringe—it’s dangerous.

Also, The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Greta Thunberg learned the hard way that the nation of Israel does not play around when propagandists and Jew-haters try to infiltrate their country.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that the Israeli government deported the infamous Jew-hating ‘climate change’ activist along three other “freedom flotilla” activists after they refused to watch footage of Hamas terrorists slaughtering thousands of Jews in Israel, the worst attack to the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday that Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, announced that the terrorist sympathizers would be forced to watch footage of the Oct. 7 terror attack.

Thunberg and the three activists were sent away after signing the deportation papers. The other eight activists refused to do so and have been detained pending a court hearing.
