During a recent press conference, President Donald Trump targeted CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, calling CNN “fake news” and mocking her question about U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, prompting laughter from his delegation. Trump dismissed a so called leaked Defense Intelligence Agency report cited by CNN, which suggested the strikes only set back Iran’s nuclear program by months which Trump vehemently denies is true. Trump insisted the sites were “obliterated” and slammed Collins for ignoring positive military achievements.
At a subsequent Pentagon briefing, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was questioned about not mentioning women involved in the Iran strikes, to which he emphasized the mission’s success and the bravery of all personnel, including both male and female crew members. Hegseth slammed the media for spinning the narrative to undermine Trump and the military, also grilling the “reporter” for worrying about political correctness over things that actually matter.
