Trump Speaks to Russia’s Putin, as the US Halts Military Aid to Zelensky’s Ukraine (VIDEOS)

After his success in stopping several world conflicts, Trump is still toiling to stop the bloodshed in Europe between Russia and Ukraine.

As conservative activist Charlie Kirk has reminded us, the US Donald J. Trump administration has ended four wars in the last few months (India x Pakistan, Israel x Iran, Rwanda x Congo and Kosovo x Serbia), and a fifth peace process, between Israel and Hamas, has decent chances of coming to a ceasefire in the next days. Monumental, right?

But besides all these roaring successes of Trump’s foreign policy, there is one ongoing conflict in Europe that he still hasn’t been able to stop: the Russia-Ukraine war – the bloodiest military clash since the Second World War.

Lately, the US strategy appears to be ‘halting’: they paused the diplomatic normalization talks with Russia, and interrupted the delivery of military aid to Ukraine.

The last few weeks saw Ukraine pounded by the most intense Russian drone and missile bombardments since the start of the war, three and a half years ago.

The Economist reported:

“There could scarcely be a worse time for America to halt the delivery of precious air-defense equipment.”

Kiev officials state that cargo planes delivering US supplies of air-defense interceptors to Ukraine were turned around.

“Precisely which weapons have been halted, for how long and why remains murky. The Pentagon gave no details. But several reports said they included Patriot air-defense interceptors. The Wall Street Journal added that they included Stinger surface-to-air missiles, air-to-air missiles, Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, surface-to-surface rockets and artillery rounds.”

Support for Kiev regime is apparently a thing of the past, with no money for Ukraine provided in the ‘big beautiful bill’.

“The Pentagon has long fretted about the impact of the Ukraine war on its supply of weapons. Reports say Pentagon officials have been circulating memos since early this year expressing concern about low stocks.”

The open dialogue between Trump and Putin is ongoing, easing the tensions between the nuclear superpowers.

In the meantime, a surprise phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place today.

New York Post reported:

“Trump placed the call as the House of Representatives is on the cusp of passing a bill stuffed with major campaign promises — including to cut taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits – and a week after he brokered a cease-fire between Israel and Iran, days after bombing Tehran’s key nuclear sites.

Trump recently has been pessimistic about solving the Russia-Ukraine conflict – likening the nations to children during a White House visit last month by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

‘Sometimes you see two young children fighting like crazy’, Trump said. ‘They hate each other, and they’re fighting in a park, and you try and pull them apart. They don’t want to be pulled. Sometimes you’re better off letting them fight for a while and then pulling them apart’.”

Putin and Trump held a nearly hour-long phone conversation, according to Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.

Sputnik reported:

“Putin informed Trump about the progress of implementing the Istanbul agreements between Russia and Ukraine, […] told Trump that Russia continues to seek a negotiated solution to the Ukrainian conflict. He informed Trump that Russia will not abandon the elimination of all root causes of the current confrontation.

Trump raised the issue of an early end to hostilities in Ukraine during the conversation.”

Putin congratulated Trump on tomorrow’s US Independence Day, and the leaders had a detailed discussion on the situation around Iran and the Middle East as a whole.

“Putin and Trump discussed several promising joint economic projects in energy and space exploration, [but] did not discuss a possible personal meeting.”
