Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has quickly become one of America’s top members of Congress thanks to his outstanding voting record and humorous put-downs of leftist anchors during hostile interviews. He again went viral on Wednesday by destroying a liberal CNN host for spreading a big lie about President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill.”

Burchett appeared as a guest on Erin Burnett OutFront, which Brianna Keilar hosted. The so-called journalist soon started her inquisition of Burchett by spreading a major lie about Trump’s signature piece of legislation.

Keilar alleged that “The Big, Beautiful Bill” would throw millions of ‘working’ Americans off of Medicaid, citing the far-left Congressional Budget Office (CBO). At the same time, she accused Burchett without evidence of being a hypocrite on spending and the CBO.

Burchett, though, was not having any of Keilar’s nonsense. He immediately called her out for spreading propaganda and not caring about the positive economic impact the bill would bring for millions of taxpayers.

He then went on to blast Keilar and the left for fighting to hide the whole truth from the American people while hammering her for putting words in his mouth.

Burchett called out the CBO for the partisan organization while dropping the real truth about the Medicaid aspect of the legislation. The only people who will be cut off are folks illegally on it, such as illegal aliens and people gaming the system.

The congressman closed by ripping into Keilar for needlessly fear-mongering and doing a disservice to America.

“You’ll are just trying to scare America by telling millions of people [that they’re] going to be cut off [from Medicaid].”

Transcript:

Keilar: The CBO, which you put so much trust in for years and years wanting resolutions read before bills…Is very clear about how many people are going to be kicked off of healthcare…Until you were against the CBO.

Burchett: No ma’am, no ma’am. Listen, if you want to do the editorial, just go ahead, and you don’t need me on here.

Keilar: These are facts, sir. I don’t have to editorialize.

Burchett: I would like to see the economic output of every bill. You, as a taxpayer, should want that too.

And the CBO is the only organization we have. If I could allow a private accounting firm to do it, I would much rather that happen.

And what do you have against knowing how much each bill is spent? Why does the media opposed to that? Why do y’all on the left fight every chance at America, knowing what’s going on?

The problem y’all have with this bill, ma’am, is that it gets government out of our way and lets Americans make some decisions.

“Y’all are just telling us how bad things are going and trying to construct, and as you’re doing with me, trying to dictate what I’ve said.

And the reality is, the CBO is a partisan organization, and the reality is America has a right to know how much we’re spending on every piece of legislation. I cannot believe you, as a member of the media, would not want open records, and that is exactly what that bill would do.

Ya’ll are just trying to scare America that millions of people are going to be cut off from this thing (Medicaid). You’re talking about the people who are on it illegally, who are gaming the system.

It does not do any of what you’ve said, and all you’ve done is scare America, and you’re not doing a service to this country, ma’am. And you want to talk about transparency, and there you are attacking me on a bill where I’m trying to make it transparent how much we’re spending on each piece of legislation.

Following the interview, Burchett put out this hilarious tweet.

“My wife had spaghetti for supper I had some ⁦CNN,” he wrote.

Burchett absolutely did and for that, we should be grateful. America needs more members of Congress like him who can effectively blow up media lies on the spot and even maintain a sense of humor while doing so.
