WATCH: Tom Homan Says Deportations will “Vastly Increase” if Big Beautiful Bill is Passed – Provides Funding to Open More Facilities like Alligator Alcatraz to Detain Aliens

Border Czar Tom Homan spoke to reporters at the Whtie House this week and said the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which the House of Representatives is expected to pass today, will “vastly increase” the number of deportations.

The White House is expected to host a bill signing ceremony on Friday if the bill passes a final vote in the House.

This comes as the Trump Administration has faced lower-than-expected deportation numbers due to a lack of resources and nationwide injunctions from rogue judges.

The White House hopes to deport at least 3,000 illegals per day, which only amounts to roughly 1.1 million aliens per year, not even close to the 20+ million who invaded our country under the Biden administration.

However, with the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, Homan says they will be able to enforce the laws of this country and sign more contracts to detain aliens. “We need more beds. That bill is gonna let us sign contracts that are pending for more beds,” Homan told The Gateway Pundit. “We don’t have the funding to do it. Once that bill passes and the money comes to the Department of Homeland Security, we can sign some of those contracts and get more beds right away.”

Homan recently said during a One Big Beautiful Bill event at the White House, “We’ve got over 600,000 illegal aliens with criminal histories walking the streets of this country. We’ve got less than 5000 deportation officers.”

The One Big Beautiful Bill is expected to massively increase the number of ICE agents in the field and provide resources to arrest and deport millions of illegal aliens.

Homan also discussed the President’s visit to Alligator Alcatraz on Tuesday, drawing a contrast between the Biden Administration’s de-facto amnesty for illegals with NGO facilities and immigration court hearings 3-5 years after they’ve been caught and released.

“We’re going to enforce laws of this country, people are going to get hearings quicker, and if anybody goes and look at the EOIR website, immigration court website, here’s what the message is: No one gets across,” he said.

Watch below:

Conradson: When the big, beautiful bill does pass, how do you expect that to impact the number of deportations per day? Will it be two-fold, three-fold?

Homan: Vastly increased. Depends how quick we get more resources on, how quick we get the contractors on, how quick we can bring the beds on. I mean, Governor DeSantis, I give him credit, we’ve got the facility he’s putting up in Florida. We’ll be filling those beds as quick as we can because we need more beds. I mean, I looked at it this morning, I think we got like 1,700 empty beds. We’ll fill them in two days. So, we need more beds. That bill is gonna let us sign contracts that are pending for more beds. We don’t have the funding to do it. Once that bill passes and the money comes to the Department of Homeland Security, we can sign some of those contracts and get more beds right away.

Iris Tao: We know that President Trump is visiting Alligator Alcatraz tomorrow in Florida. Can you tell us more about what message it sends, and how it relates to the administration’s push right now with a Big Beautiful Bill?

Homan: We’re going to enforce immigration law. Despite all the rhetoric out there against ICE and the men and women who are out doing this job, we’re going to be out doing that job. We’re going to rest every public safety threat, national security threat we can find, and when we do that, we need a bed. Governor DeSantis is coming forth with a couple thousand beds. I applaud him for doing that, and it’s at a pretty good cost, too, if you look at the total cost of that bill.

Money that used to go to NGOs to put somebody in hotel room at 500 bucks a night is going to help fund these facilities. And here’s what you need to know, that no one talks about: Facilities that we contract through at Governor DeSantis’s facility, when you’re an ICE contract facility, you get a hearing with a judge within 40 days. But under the Biden administration, they put ’em in the custody of the NGO, put ’em in the hotel room at 500 bucks a night because they know doing that would push your hearing out, 3, 5, 7 years because immigration judges prioritize those in detention. So, they played the long game. Let’s leave thousands of empty ICE beds, already paid for, let’s leave them empty. Let’s give these people to NGOs.

That pushes a hearing out, 3, 5, 7 years. What happens then? What are they hoping happens then? There’s a Democratic administration that affords amnesty to millions of people. That’s not going to happen. We’re going to enforce laws of this country, people are going to get hearings quicker, and if anybody goes and look at the EOIR website, immigration court website, here’s what the message is: No one gets across. You can claim asylum in this country. If you go to the last 10 years of immigration court data, nearly nine out of 10 people who claim asylum get an order of removal because they simply don’t qualify for asylum. They’re not escaping fear and persecution from the homeland because of race, religion, political affiliation. They’re coming here for a better life, and I get that. But that’s not asylum. We’re enforcing the laws, and the great success we’re having proves if you enforce law, you can secure the border. You enforce laws, you make this country safe again. That’s what we’re doing.
