Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is furious after allegedly catching a far-left reporter from one of the nation’s most notorious papers engaging in a series of unacceptable breaches of journalism for pure political purposes.
On Thursday, Gabbard alleged that Washington Post reporter Ellen Nakashima was harassing ODNI staff in a variety of unethical ways, including lying about where she worked and using a burner phone.
“It has come to my attention that Washington Post reporter @nakashimae appears to be actively harassing ODNI staff,” Gabbard wrote. “Instead of reaching out to my press office, she is calling high-level Intelligence Officers from a burner phone, refusing to identify herself, lying about the fact that she works for the Washington Post, and then demanding they share sensitive information.”
“Apparently, publishing leaked classified material wasn’t enough for the Washington Post, so now they’ve decided to go after the Intelligence professionals charged to protect it,” she added.
Gabbard then revealed Nakashima had previously bullied her family back in her home state of Hawaii.
“This is a clear political op by the same outlet and the same reporter who harassed and stalked my family in Hawaii,” she said.
Gabbard then closed by tearing into Nakashima and the Washington Post, calling their behavior “desperate” and “deranged.”
This kind of deranged behavior reflects a media establishment so desperate to sabotage @POTUS’s successful agenda that they’ve abandoned even a facade of journalistic integrity and ethics.
“The Washington Post should be ashamed, and they should put an end to this immediately.”

The Washington Post was not happy about getting called out by Gabbard and fired back.
“For three decades, Ellen Nakashima has been one of the most careful, fair-minded, and highly regarded reporters covering national security. Reaching out to potential sources rather than relying solely on official government press statements regarding matters of public interest is neither nefarious nor is it harassment. It is basic journalism,” Washington Post executive editor Matt Murray said in a statement on X.

In this situation, the safe move is to side with America’s DNI Director, especially when one considers Nakashima’s notorious history of lies.
As The Gateway Pundit has reported, Ellen Nakashima is among the worst deep-state journalists and published numerous hit pieces on conservatives.
For example, she released this garbage hit piece against former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani back in 2021.
Here is the lead paragraph for the Washington Post’s piece written at least in part by Nakashima on Giuliani:
The FBI warned Rudolph W. Giuliani in late 2019 that he was the target of a Russian influence operation aimed at circulating falsehoods intended to damage President Biden politically ahead of last year’s election, according to people familiar with the matter.
The problem for Nakashima again is Rudy was on with Steve Bannon and he claimed he never was approached by the FBI. This completely blows away the WaPo’s bogus piece.
The hack also dumped a false report about Trump team member Richard Grenell and she was the spark behind the bogus Russia-Collusion lies.
She was also one of the first, if not the first, to claim Russian hacking of the DNC.
