A mother and her 11-year-old girl were killed in a head-on collision in New Jersey on July 27th by an illegal alien criminal from Mexico.
Raul Luna Perez was arrested after he crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck the vehicle that had killed Maria Pleitez and her daughter Dayanara Cortes. One child who survived the crash was hospitalized.
Perez was arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and assault by local law enforcement, according to Homeland Security.
New Jersey has been known to be a sanctuary state, which resulted in Perez being released despite his past crimes. He had two previous DUIs in 2025 alone. He was also arrested for domestic violence in 2023. It is not known when and where he entered the US.
