Marie Harf was never considered one of the brightest lights when she worked for the Obama regime, and this was evident during a segment on Fox News discussing D.C. crime.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, President Trump on Monday announced that he was invoking Section 740 of the DC Home Rule Act to place Washington, DC’s Metropolitan Police Department under “direct federal control” and authorizing the Secretary of Defense to deploy National Guard troops in Washington, DC.
“We’re formally declaring a public safety emergency. This is an emergency. This is a tragic emergency, and it’s embarrassing,” Trump said. “This city will no longer be a sanctuary for illegal alien criminals. We will have full, seamless, integrated cooperation at all levels of law enforcement, and we’ll deploy officers across the district with an overwhelming presence.”
During a segment on “Outnumbered” on Thursday, Harf attempted to deflect from the brutal facts about D.C.’s horrific crime rate by trying to claim that it was actually Republican cities in Republican states driving nationwide crime.
“A lot of the cities with the most crime in the country are led by Republicans,” Harf stated. “It’s not just a Democratic city problem, but the President doesn’t talk about those.”
Harf then bashed Trump for daring to federalize DC and charging the DOJ lawyer with a felony for assaulting a federal officer with a Subway sandwich. And like a typical brainwashed leftist, she brought up J6.
“It’s very rich to say we are going to charge the sandwich thrower with a felony when I was there on January 6. And all those who assaulted police officers got pardoned,” Harf whined. “So don’t tell me this administration cares about protecting police officers when they did not care about those on January 6.”
But Harris Faulkner had her facts ready to blow up Harf’s line of garbage completely.
“Can I start the fact-checking?” Faulkner asked before listing the top ten cities with the most murders in 2025.

“First is St Louis, Missouri, who’s leading it?” Faulkner asked Harf.
The former Obama spokesperson immediately tried to filibuster, but Faulkner would not let her off the hook.
“Memphis is second…Baltimore (3rd), Detroit (4th), New Orleans (5th), Little Rock (Arkansas) (6th),” Faulkner read. “Oakland (7th), Cleveland (8th), Tacoma (Washington) (9th), and Kansas City (10th).
“How many of those are red states!” Harf shouted. “Ohio’s a red state…”
“It’s not the same thing,” The Five co-host Emily Compagno pointed out.
“You were talking about the cities,” Faulkner said. “I’m just listening to what you said.”
“I said cities that are red, some of those are,” Harf claimed. “Almost all of those are in states led by Republicans.”
“But who’s in charge of the cities?” Faulkner asked.
After more nonsensical filibustering from Harf, who had no answer, Faulkner drove home her point again.
“These are real crimes, and the majority of those cities are Democrat-led,” she said. “I read you the top 10, I think you had 3.”
Faulkner was actually being too generous. Not one of those cities voted for Trump in the last election.
Even the most ‘moderate’ cities on the list, Tacoma and Little Rock, lean to the left by double-digits.
