The Department of Justice will deliver partially redacted files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation to the House Oversight Committee starting this week, Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) announced.

“Officials with the Department of Justice have informed us that the Department will begin to provide Epstein-related records to the Oversight Committee this week on Friday,” Comer said in a press release.

This comes after the committee sent subpoenas to probe the government’s handling of the case and the powerful individuals tied to the late pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Comer and the House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena to the Department of Justice for records related to Epstein and deposition subpoenas to a high-profile list of former federal officials.

The sweeping list includes former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, and multiple former Attorneys General.

Former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr sat for his deposition on Monday and, according to Comer, testified that he has never seen anything in the Epstein documents that would implicate President Trump.

President Trump has also asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the sealed grand jury transcripts and any credible evidence in the documents.

However, an Obama-appointed federal judge denied the Justice Department’s bid to unseal Jeffrey Epstein grand jury transcripts from a Florida investigation, the Gateway Pundit reported.

The subpoena sent to the DOJ also requests “all communications between President Biden and/or Biden Administration officials and the Department of Justice related to Jeffrey Epstein.”

“There are many records in DOJ’s custody, and it will take the Department time to produce all the records and ensure the identification of victims and any child sexual abuse material are redacted,” Comer said.

“I appreciate the Trump Administration’s commitment to transparency and efforts to provide the American people with information about this matter.”
