Three more Republican states have pledged to send their National Guard troops to Washington, DC, to help the Trump Administration rid the streets of dangerous criminals and homeless vagrants.

Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee are the latest to pledge about 500 additional troops to aid the crisis.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (R) announced on X that he approved “approximately 200” soldiers “to support President Trump’s effort to return law and order to our nation’s capital.”

“Crime is out of control there, and it’s clear something must be done to combat it. Americans deserve a safe capital city that we can all be proud of,” he said.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry (R) pledged 135 troops, saying, “We are a nation of law and order. Our capital is a reflection of our nation’s respect, beauty, and standards.”

He continued, We cannot allow our cities to be overcome by violence and lawlessness.

DC Councilwoman Brooke Pinto said in an X post on Sunday that an additional National Guard troops arrived in DC, condemning the move and pushing bogus statistics that DC is at a “a 30 year crime low.”

It’s back to school season and across DC we are getting ready to teach our kids and prepare them for the future. ⁰⁰Today, 1,000 additional National Guard troops are set to arrive from West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi. Some will likely…

This comes after President Trump’s declaration of a “public safety emergency” in the nation’s capital, which federalized the DC police force and deployed hundreds of National Guard troops and federal agents on the streets to tackle the rampant crime, homelessness, and illegal immigration crises.

President Trump activaded 800 DC National Guardsmen after he declared last Monday that it was “Liberation Day in DC.”

Hundreds of criminals were promptly removed the streets, along with multiple drug and weapons seizures.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, West Virginia, Ohio, and South Carolina have already pledged hundreds of troops each, in line with his Presidential memorandum authorizing state governors to send their troops, to help President Trump make DC safe again.
