War Room Guest Host Ben Harnwell with Professor David Betz on Britain’s Vulnerability to Potential Civil War (VIDEO)

War Room guest host Ben Harnwell talked with professor David Betz on Britain’s vulnerability for a potential civil war. He explained that the current conditions with mass migration, and government incompetence are creating instability within the society.

“What would you point to, to justify that conclusion?” Harnwell asked.

“Britain today exhibits all the standard warning signals of a country which is vulnerable to an outbreak of civil war,” Betz said.

“They have been building for a long time. The first is the factionalization of the society,” Betz said.

“The second factor is a perception on the part of a formerly dominant majority that they are losing their status in society. That they are trending ultimately to a minority status in their own society,” Betz continued.

“The third factor is essentially a loss of faith in the functioning of the normal legitimate system. When people lose faith in the ability to solve collective action problems through normal political means, they then seek alternate means of achieving change,” Betz said.

“It is very likely in my view that that will take the shape of some sort of civil conflict in the UK,” Betz warned.

Professor Betz also commented on the current government’s incompetence that is also a driving force to the issues that may potentially lead to civil war.

“The government is simply not terribly competent. They don’t know what they are doing. They are reacting in a highly capricious manner in, as essentially as frightened people do when they themselves are fearful of the monster that they have created,” Betz warned.

“You are seeing defections from the elite across the political spectrum, which results for instance in the rise of anti-status quo parties,” Betz continued.

“These combination of factors I would stress are long term. They haven’t come from nowhere. They have been building for a long while,” Betz warned.

Harnwell explained and echoed what Bannon has talked about in the past regarding conflicts arising when there is a rising power against a declining one.

“The theory is this is that when you have a rising power and a declining power. There’s the friction of that normally creates war as the declining power tries to maintain its dominance,” Harnwell commented.

“Would it be an inauthentic interpretation of what you are saying to suggest that there is a similar sort of dynamic?” Harnwell asked.

“I have no problems with that with putting it that way,” Betz said.

“The phenomenon you described I think is or the idea is perfectly portable into the context of a domestic situation,” Betz commented.
