On the “It’s Giving” podcast, Snoop Dogg recounted taking his grandchildren to see Pixar’s 2022 film “Lightyear,” where he was caught off guard by a scene featuring a lesbian couple, Alisha Hawthorne and her wife Kiko, who have a child together. He described his grandson asking, “Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!” during the movie, leaving him unsure how to respond. Snoop expressed discomfort, stating, “Oh sh*t, I didn’t come in for this sh*t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie,” and questioned the inclusion of such themes for young audiences. He further explained that the experience “threw me for a loop,” adding, “These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”
As a result, Snoop said he is now “scared” to take his grandkids to the movies, fearing unexpected content that forces difficult conversations. So called Transgender activist Ts Madison responded critically on TMZ, accusing Snoop of homophobia and urging him to “educate your grandkids,” while dismissing his discomfort with, “You’re a little uncomfortable? B*tch, educate your grandkids!”
