The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission, chaired by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is set to unveil its ambitious new strategy for addressing children’s health today.
According to AP News, the forthcoming “Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy” report builds on prior findings unveiled in May and appears to expand into actionable reforms.
After months of review, the Commission identified four undeniable drivers of America’s child health crisis:
- Toxic, ultra-processed diets — with over 60% of children’s calories now coming from industrial junk food.
- Chemical exposures — pesticides, plastics, and synthetic toxins saturating food, air, and water.
- Chronic stress and inactivity — children drowning in screen time, poor sleep, and collapsing mental health.
- Overmedicalization — a system driven by conflicts of interest that pushes dangerous drugs on children instead of fixing root causes
The MAHA plan calls for radical reforms:
- Launching a new NIH Chronic Disease Initiative and gold-standard scientific studies on autism, vaccine injury, nutrition, and mental health.
- Cracking down on petroleum-based food dyes and reforming the FDA’s corrupt “GRAS loophole” that lets dangerous chemicals slip into food.
- Reforming the vaccine framework to modernize schedules, acknowledge injuries, and ensure “scientific and medical freedom.”
- Ending junk-food dominance in federal nutrition programs and putting whole, healthy foods back into school lunches.
- Bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test to combat inactivity and obesity among America’s youth.
- Exposing conflicts of interest by forcing transparency on advisory boards, researchers, and medical schools captured by pharmaceutical dollars
