Cameron Moore, founder of the American Heroes Association and tireless champion for our brave veterans and Trump-aligned causes, has sued the British tabloid Daily Mail for federal defamation.

Moore has filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of Florida against Mail Media Inc., the publisher of the Daily Mail, alleging defamation per se and defamation by implication.

The suit claims the Daily Mail knowingly pushed a hit piece designed to destroy Moore’s reputation and undermine his work for veterans, conservative causes, and President Trump himself.

Led by Attorney Jamie Sasson of The Sasson Law Firm, the case accuses the Daily Mail of publishing a September 5th article that falsely painted Moore as “a deceptive opportunist who fabricates relationships with public figures.”

Despite Moore’s formal request for a retraction, Mail Media Inc. reportedly refused—arguing that its language was not meant to imply deception.

The lawsuit alleges this refusal shows actual malice and demonstrates the Daily Mail’s intent to sensationalize for clicks at the expense of truth.

Moore and Sasson are now seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as injunctive relief requiring the removal or correction of the defamatory publication.

Claims of “97% of Media Coverage Is Fake” Statement Adds Urgency to Defamation Lawsuit Against Daily Mail; Cameron Moore and Attorney Jamie Sasson Demand Accountability

Just as our United States President, Donald Trump, intensifies his battle against media bias, claiming that “97% of stories about him are fake or negative,” a new federal lawsuit filed by Cameron Moore, Founder of the American Heroes Association, raises parallel concerns about media ethics, political targeting, and the weaponization of journalism.

Moore’s lawsuit (Case 9:25-cv-81146), filed in the Southern District of Florida, targets Mail Media Inc., publisher of the Daily Mail, for defamation per se and defamation by implication stemming from a September 5th article that Moore says falsely portrayed him as “a deceptive opportunist who fabricates relationships with public figures.”

Led by Attorney Jamie Sasson of The Sasson Law Firm, the suit alleges that the article made false factual assertions and constructed a defamatory narrative that damaged Moore’s reputation, fundraising efforts, and professional relationships.

“This case is about truth, integrity, and most of all, accountability,” said Sasson.

“The Daily Mail published statements that were not only unfounded, but calculated to mislead readers and harm Mr. Moore’s reputation. We are seeking justice and sending a clear message that media outlets must be held responsible when they cross the line.”

Among the most damaging claims in the article are that Moore ‘persuaded’ Trump ally and FBI Director Kash Patel to pose for a photo, a statement Moore says is demonstrably false.

Moore had previously raised funds for and volunteered his time and resources to Patel’s foundation, with the photo being taken amicably and voluntarily.

Additionally, the article claims that Moore posted a ‘deceptive’ video with Roger Stone, implying Moore misled the public about the timing and nature of their relationship.

Moore responded that he never labeled the video as recent, as well as had posted a newer photo with Stone from an event in Las Vegas just weeks earlier where Moore was the title sponsor.

The image confirmed their ongoing association, with Moore having offered support multiple times over the past few years for a myriad of projects.

Moore, who has devoted his political career to raising awareness, fundraising money for patriots in need (such as veteran heroes as well as political changemakers like Tina Peters), and uplifting faith-based organizations (including bringing 100 priests to President Trump’s home for ‘A Prayer with America’), stated, “I’ve spent years building authentic relationships to support veterans, conservative causes, and American values. To be falsely portrayed as someone who manipulates and deceives is not only hurtful, but is damaging to the very mission I’ve dedicated my life to.”

Despite Moore’s formal request for retraction, Mail Media Inc. refused, claiming its language was not meant to imply deception. The lawsuit alleges intentional malice, citing the outlet’s refusal to correct known falsehoods and its use of misleading language to sensationalize the story and boost readership.

Moore and Sasson are seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as injunctive relief requiring the removal or correction of the defamatory publication.
