JUST IN: Top National Security Prosecutor in Eastern District of Virginia Lashes Out at DOJ After Firing, Encourages Prosecutors to DEFY Trump Appointees

The Justice Department on Wednesday fired the top national security prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Michael Ben’Ary was fired after investigative reporter Julie Kelly publicly called him out as a top advisor to Lisa Monaco.

Recall that Lisa Monaco was an Obama-Biden partisan hack who targeted Trump and threatened to indict top Republicans for January 6.

Monaco was part of Obama’s secret team that met in the White House basement in 2016 to discuss how to set up Donald Trump in their Trump-Russia collusion sham.

President Trump revoked Lisa Monaco’s security clearance earlier this year.

“The DoJ fired the top national security prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia a few hours after MAGA activist Julie Kelly denounced him on X because he has been detailed to work for the deputy attorney general in the last administration,” MSNBC’s Ken Dilanian said on Wednesday evening.

The firing reportedly had nothing to do with the Comey’s case according to MSNBC, however Deep State prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia tried to defend Comey by leaking a memo the night before he was indicted.

Julie Kelly shot back at Ken Dilanian after he blamed her for the firing.

Oh Fusion Ken. I’m not just a “MAGA activist,” I’m a reporter doing the f*cking job you establishment DOJ sycophants refuse to do. Now dig deeper into the Democratic ties to others in the EDVA, which tried to sabotage the Comey indictment. https://t.co/hC7UpQFkbn

Michael Ben’Ary whined in a letter to colleagues after he was fired and encouraged them to continue to defy Trump appointees.

“I am even more disappointed to see what has happened to this office and the Department of Justice in just a few short months. The decisions to remove experienced career officials from US Attorneys Offices, the FBI, and other critical parts of DOJ undermines our country’s ability to counter terrorist organizations, malign nation-state actors, and countless others that seek to harm our nation and its citizens.”

“While I am no longer your colleague, I ask that each of you continue to do the right thing, in the right way, for the right reasons. Follow the fact and the law. Stand up for what we all believe in – our Constitution and the rule of law. Our country depends on you,” he wrote.

Letter from Michael P. Ben'Ary detailing his termination from the Justice Department after nearly 20 years, expressing disappointment in leadership decisions and emphasizing the importance of upholding the law.

Michael Ben’Ary’s firing follows President Trump’s firing of Erik Siebert as the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia because he refused to bring charges against Letitia James, Comey, Schiff, and others.

Shortly after Siebert’s firing, Lindsey Halligan, the new Acting US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, indicted former FBI Director James Comey.

Following Comey’s indictment, Comey’s son-in-law resigned from the Eastern District of Virginia, and it was reported that many more resignations from the DOJ were imminent.
