A Chicago woman was captured on camera smearing dog feces across a patriotic Trump-themed Tesla Cybertruck on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded in the city’s Northalsted neighborhood while the Cybertruck’s owner, John Evans, was in town for a conference.
The truck features an American flag wrap design and a prominent gold-leaf replica of Trump’s signature on the tailgate.
When Evans returned to the vehicle, he found the tailgate smeared with excrement, an act he believes was motivated by the Trump branding.
“It’s crazy that something like this upsets somebody so much that they decided, ‘Oh, I’m going to ruin that person’s day,’” Evans told FOX 32. “Well, the shoe is on the other foot now.”
“On the tailgate in Gold Leaf, there is a representation of the signature of President Trump,” Evans continued. “And I think that may have further inflamed the mental illness of the person that decided to do this to my vehicle.”
Surveillance footage from the Cybertruck’s built-in cameras clearly showed the woman calmly applying the feces before walking away.

Evans shared stills from the video on X, where the post garnered over 75,000 likes and 20,000 reshares.
Social media users quickly identified the alleged perpetrator as Dorothy Owen, co-owner of Renegade Dog Services, a local dog daycare.
Although authorities have not confirmed her identity or filed charges, the business’s Instagram account soon posted an image of the vandalism with the mocking caption, “Let’s be honest, that could be anyone’s sh–ty tattoos and saggy t-ts,” accompanied by anti-Trump hashtags like #f–ktrump.
The post fueled online backlash, including negative reviews for the business.
Evans has chosen not to pursue a police report, stating that the public shaming is sufficient punishment and that law enforcement has more pressing issues to address.
When asked by Fox 32 what he would like to say to the woman, Evan said, “I would say, we are Americans, you have an obligation to do better … when you do something like this, you’re making the problem worse.”
This foul act is not an isolated event but part of a disturbing pattern of vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles, particularly Cybertrucks, amid rising political tensions. Since early 2025, incidents of Tesla-related vandalism have surged across the United States, often linked to anti-Musk sentiment or broader ideological conflicts.
For instance, in April 2025, a masked vandal in Novato, California, was caught on camera throwing a rock at a Cybertruck’s windshield and slashing its tires.
Similarly, in March 2025, multiple Cybertrucks were reportedly burned in arson attacks.
