New surveillance video obtained by The New York Post shows Mark Sanchez stumbling around while clutching his bloody stab wound early Saturday morning.
Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez, 38, was arrested after being stabbed in downtown Indianapolis.
“Sanchez was arrested at the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, all which are misdemeanors,” IMPD said in a statement.
According to reports, Sanchez was in downtown Indianapolis to call Sunday’s Raiders-Colts game.
“According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of W. Washington Street on the report of a person shot,” Fox 59 Indianapolis reported.
“When officers arrived on scene, they located two victims, one with injuries consistent with stab wounds and another who was injured during a physical altercation. One was reported to be in critical condition, while the other was “awake and breathing,” according to police,” the outlet reported.
“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition. We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time,” FOX Sports said in a statement.

On Saturday, it was reported that Mark Sanchez was arrested on misdemeanor charges, however, on Monday, the former NFL quarterback was hit with an upgraded charge: felony assault.

The victim, an unidentified 69-year-old grease truck driver, was hospitalized with severe wounds.
A photo of the victim shows a deep laceration to his cheek and blood dripping down his neck.
According to authorities, Mark Sanchez allegedly attacked the 69-year-old grease truck driver. The driver fought back and stabbed Sanchez multiple times.
TMZ Sports obtained photos of Sanchez and the elderly victim being wheeled away on gurneys.
