The Gateway Pundit reported on the violent ideations of Democrat nominee for Virginia attorney general Jay Jones.
In a series of text messages on August 8, 2022, Jones vented over state politicians mourning the death of former state legislator Joe Johnson Jr, a longtime centrist Democrat.
In the text messages, obtained by National Review, Jones texted his outrage over the eulogies to his former colleague, Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner.
Jones slammed Johnson for being too ‘moderate’ and mocked Republican tributes saying, “If those guys die before me, I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves” to “send them out awash in something.”
In a hypothetical game, Jones then said he would kill then-Speaker of the House Todd Gilbert instead of monsters Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot.
Most disturbingly, Jones then suggested politicians “must feel pain themselves,” such as the agony that parents feel when they watch their child die.
He said he wished Gilbert’s wife could watch her own child die in her arms so that Gilbert might move to the left politically.
Jones’ behavior is so twisted and depraved that even far-left MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough called for him to withdraw from the AG race.
On Monday, leading into a segment on Jones, co-host Mika Brzezinski noted, “Coming up, an attorney general candidate in Virginia is apologizing for his texts about a state lawmaker. We’ll go through what the messages said.”
Scarborough responded, “He should probably be forced to withdraw from the race and probably is doing a lot there.”

On Saturday, Jones tried to apologize, saying he is “deeply, deeply sorry.” He did not clarify if he was sorry for fantasizing about killing a Republican lawmaker and wishing death upon their child or simply sorry that the voters of Virginia now know what kind of man he is.
