The Trump Administration sent California Governor Gavin Newsom into a panic with a commonsense move to help prevent massive voter fraud and then nuked him following his tantrum.
On Friday, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon announced that the Department of Justice would monitor polling sites in California and New Jersey to ensure election integrity, especially to prevent Democrats from cheating.

According to a Justice Department press release, the following jurisdictions will be monitored:
- Passaic County, New Jersey
- Kern County, California
- Riverside County, California
- Fresno County, California
- Orange County, California
- Los Angeles County, California
The stakes in California are particularly high. As TGP readers know, Newsom and his fellow California Democrats have forced </> a special election to redraw the state’s congressional districts in a direct attempt to counter the Republican-led redistricting effort in Texas, which could add up to five GOP seats.
Newsom wants voters to approve five Democratic seats drawn by the State Legislature even though his redistricting push likely violates </>the California Constitution. Of course, the far-left state courts in California ignored this.
One can expect the Democrats to do everything possible to ensure this referendum succeeds and leave the GOP almost extinct in California. Unsurprisingly, Newsom responded to the DOJ’s announcement by throwing a fit.
He opened by whining that the Trump Administration had no authority to ensure a free and fair vote, claiming ‘states’ rights.’
He went on to slam the move as “voter suppression” and “voter intimidation” while alleging that Trump will send ICE agents to voting booths next.
Newsom then closed by saying the very fate of the American Republic was on the line with this move.
What a pathetic meltdown.

NEWSOM: So, today, the Trump Administration announced they’re sending election monitors to five specific counties here in California.
They have no business doing that. They have no basis to do that.
In fact, we have a statewide election for a statewide constitution.
This is about voter intimidation. This is about voter suppression, full stop.
And it’s a pattern, isn’t it? It’s consistent with what they’ve done with the federalization of the National Guard and the chill that’s created.
They’ll do that right around Election Day as well. Same thing with ICE, border patrol…Watch that space, showing up in and around polling booths and voting spaces.
But this is a bridge too far, and I hope people understand…It’s a bridge they’re trying to build for all across this country in next November’s election.
They do not believe in free and fair elections! Our Republic, our democracy, is all on the line.
We all need to wake up.
Dhillion responded to Newsom’s tirade by nuking him with an inconvenient fact: Democrats have sent election observers for decades, and there were no cries of voter bullying.
But it’s now they lose it when Team Trump does the same thing.
