The FBI is involved in helping local authorities find masked individuals after a blast inside a building on the campus of Harvard Medical School early Saturday morning.

A little after 2:45 am, Harvard University Police sent an officer to the building after a fire alarm was activated.

Two suspects took off quickly when the officer arrived to investigate the matter.

Fox News Reported:

The FBI is assisting in a search for multiple masked suspects after an “intentional” explosion inside a building on Harvard University’s Longwood Medical School campus early Saturday.

Harvard officials told Fox News Digital that, just after 2:45 a.m., a Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was dispatched to the Goldenson building at 220 Longwood Avenue in Boston for a fire alarm activation.

When the officer arrived, two people fled the building, officials said.

“The officer tried to stop the pair before proceeding to the fourth floor, where the alarm was triggered, finding an explosion had occurred.” Fox News reported.

The Arson Unit at the Boston Fire Department made an assessment that the blast looked intentional.

Boston PD swept the building to make sure there weren’t any more explosive devices. The sweep revealed no other devices. It appears that no one was hurt from the blast.

At this time, the suspects have not been identified yet. The images were released in hopes that the public could assist in identifying who they are.
